Orphan Care…Coming Along Side

It is estimated that there are over 3 million orphans in Kenya, 47% orphaned as a result of HIV and AIDS.

In many instances, older family members (grandmothers, aunts, older siblings and even neighbors) take on the responsibilities of caring for these children and raising them as their own.

With families steeped in poverty and already struggling to survive one day at a time, taking on another child, or two or more, just adds to the hardships of everyday life.

Donations designated by donors for Orphan Care helps to provide much needed supplies for a family.

Food, cooking oil, clothing, basic household items are given to families to help ease the difficulties of raising someone else’s child or children.

We are so thankful that so many people in Kenya have taken on this added responsibility to ensure children have a family and a home.

We are so grateful that the needs of these families caring for others can be eased and lightened with your generous support!
